From the interviews we produce prototypes within days that allow the clients to use the system and confirm the design. They can readily change their minds from the start of the project until everyone agrees and is enthusiastic about the design of the new system.

The prototypes are converted into production databases where the final business rules and specialised interface and conversion requirements are added. The systems are then tested against the specifications developed during prototyping and, on acceptance, implemented.

In addition our prototyping approach is very useful when there is no clarity on the detailed design of a system (i.e. just a list of objectives and a very rough idea of how these will be achieved) in evaluating options. It also assists in getting a development project back on track when there have been communication difficulties between users and technical inhouse or external developers in developing a system. The prototype can be used as a basis for a production system or as part of the specifications.
